Successful Youth Exchange in Armenia

One more Youth Exchange funded by the Erasmus+ has successfully given our participants a great experience!

From the 19-28 January 2024, our participants attended the project “Eco-Mindfulness for Equity and Inclusion” organised by “Catalyst” Educational NGO, which took place in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.

They experienced the synergy of mindfulness and nature-based methodologies and to become a driving force for equity and inclusion in their societies for youth in general and refugees, migrants and those who had to flee wars in particular.
Here you can read the feedback of one of the participants:
“Embarking on my first youth exchange, I stepped into the unknown filled with gratitude and no expectations. Little did I know, it would become a transformative journey, weaving through the tapestry of different cultures, experiences, and friendships.
The experience was nothing short of incredible. Each day brought forth new encounters, challenging my perspectives and enriching my understanding of the world.
What made the journey truly special was the warmth and camaraderie shared among participants. It was a nice experience to witness how despite our differences, we found common ground in our shared humanity. Our interactions were not just exchanges of ideas but also sharing of our cultural heritage.
It was an exciting time filled with learning and self-discovery. As participants, we were challenged to create and impact the program, taking turns to facilitate sessions and share our knowledge and experiences. These activities taught us the importance of collaboration, empathy, patience and understanding.
One aspect that particularly resonated with me was the introduction to mindfulness practices. Learning to quiet the mind is a skill I know will serve me well in the future, helping me navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience. However the most valuable takeaway from the exchange was the friendships and connections forged along the way.
Reflecting on my journey, I wholeheartedly recommend a youth exchange with Erasmus to everyone. It’s more than just a trip—it’s a journey of self-discovery, cultural immersion, and personal growth. It’s an opportunity to expand your horizons, challenge your perceptions, and form meaningful connections that transcend borders and boundaries.
Ultimately, my youth exchange experience taught me that the world is a vast and wondrous place, brimming with endless possibilities and opportunities for connection. And for that, I will forever be grateful.” – Maren
